This front route sign is from Chicago, Illinois's Beverly Garage. The routes served are from Chicago's far south side district. It is off a GMC New Look that would have been built in the early to mid 1960's. This rollsign is unique in that it is part linen and part mylar, with the newer mylar exposures inserted at random, as new routes and branches were introduced. The sign has no printed date. It has 63 exposures total.

The image of this sign was created from sequential photographs of the actual sign.

Exposures with an "L" beside it are linen
  (44 of the 63 exposures)

Exposures with an "M" beside it are mylar
  (19 of the 63 exposures)

The exposures with numbers that have a red slash
through it indicate a "short turn" for that route.

This mylar rollsign is from one of Chicago's "Elevated" trains. It was designed for their 2400/2600 series cars.

It is dated June 24, 1984, and has 15 exposures, including the ever popular "cta - The Spirit of Chicago" exposure.

The black stripe along its right side contains a series of barcodes, for automatic destination sign roller fixtures.

The image of this sign has been drawn virtually perfect to scale, but has been enlarged 1 1/2 times compared to most scale drawing signs, to enhance detail.

Its sign tag is shown below:
