discovered in
a scrap yard in
eastern New
York state on
June 4, 2025.
This set of four Niagara Frontier Transit Authority rollsigns were all removed from retired MetroBus 1975
built Highway Products Twin Coach #3007. The two digit route number sign (far left) is comprised mostly
of mylar but with six linen exposures and the linen end blank incorporated as well. The mylar section is
dated
January 27, 1975, Overall it has 108 exposures. The single digit route branch letter sign (middle-left) is all
mylar and has 50 exposures. There's no print date on the sign. The all linen front destination sign (middle-
right), marked as for the Niagara Falls area, originally had 35 exposures, but from the many years being in
the scrap yard showing the same exposures, the first two linen exposures, "AIRPORT" and "BELL CARBO.",
had become so brittle they had fallen apart in the bus. There is no print date on the sign. The all mylar side
destination sign (far right) is marked as being made for an AM General bus. It is dated December 4, 1975
and has 42 exposures. Sign tags and written note photos pertaining to these four signs are shown below.
