Rollsigns from Kenosha, WI
Kenosha Transit as it exists today was created in September of 1971 when the city took
over transit operations from Pathfinder (City Transit) lines, who had ceased local service
in February of 1971. On June 17, 2000 a new 2 mile long streetcar loop began
operations in the downtown area from Harbor Park to the Kenosha METRA Station,
initially using five retired PCC streetcars from
Toronto, Ontario (Canada),
with later additions to the fleet being former
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania PCC streetcars.
This mylar side and front route sign
set was removed from April 1975 built
GMC T6H-4523N "New Look" #521
after retirement. The side sign (left) is
dated November 27, 1990 and has 11
exposures. Its sign tag is shown below.

The front sign (right) doesn't have a
print date, but is newer than the side
sign. It has 27 exposures.
Retired Kenosha Transit 1975 built GMC T6H-4523N #521, still
displaying the rollsign shown here, is seen at a scrap yard in
northwestern Indiana on November 4, 2019.
